Quaternary Stream Terraces of Dallas County, Texas The terraces are composed of approximately 32% of the area of Dallas county, and exhibit significantly different characteristics from the regions of weathered bedrock, which is mostly the Austin Chalk and Eagle Ford Shale.

Diminutive Cretaceous Fossils of Rufe Snow
Ammonites, crabs and other small crustaceans, parts of brittle stars and asteroid starfishes, an echinoid, shark teeth and bony fish vertebrae, pelecypods and gastropods make up the more common fossils.
The Pawpawsaurus Story
Along the shores of a seaway, in the area which is now north central Texas, lived one of the most primitive known of the "nodosaurid" dinosaurs. It is called "Pawpawsaurus".
The Balcones Escarpment
The escarpment marks the break between two physiographic divisions of North America: the Great Plains and the Coastal Plains. In Texas this break is denoted by the change from Hill Country/Edwards Plateau uplands on the west to the Blackland Prairie on the east. This site contains the full, on-line version.

Edwards-Trinity Aquifer System
The aquifer system consists of three complexly interrelated aquifers-the Edwards-Trinity, the Edwards, and the Trinity aquifers. This hydrogeological resource is part of the USGS Ground Water Atlas of the United States.
Reservoir Conditions for River Basins in Texas
This interactive page allows you to build a custom summary table or a custom sequence of graphical or tabular data for one or more stations of real-time hydrologic data for about 520 sites in Texas.
Data and graphs can be obtained for all data collected during the last 1 to 4 hours at stations by satellite telemetry.
